Throughout this course, I have learned many things and also gained many new skills. I have learned how to use APA citations; I learned the rules and also when I should apply the rules into my essay. I have also realized that referencing is also another main feature into writing an essay. Referencing is basically telling your audiences where you got your information from and also it is needed to avoid plagiarism. Plagiarism is when you use another person’s information in your own essay without citing it, which leads to copywriting. Also I have learned how to write my essays in a very distinctive matter by using indentations, starting with a good thesis statement and ending with a great conclusion. In this course I have also learned how to use two very useful websites which are www.Blogger.com , a site where you can post your essays for the world to see. The other website is www.Bibme.org , it is a site that makes citations and referencing very much easier, you just type in the URL that you want to cite and it will give you all the information you need. One other thing I learned is that essays are not always about the word count but it is mainly about how you organize your text. In this course I have learned many great things, I am happy that I took this course and I’m sure it will help me throughout my following years in HCT (Higher Colleges of Technology).
